At Narana & Jirrahlinga Aboriginal Tour, The Jirrahlinga Wildlife Sanctuary is a 20-minute drive away from there. According to the dictionary, Jirrahlinga translates as ‘Seek-A-House for a Kangaroo.’ It began as a place where injured animals could seek refuge, but it has since evolved into one of the most important destinations for getting up close and personal with Australia’s wildlife while learning about it. Make sure your cameras are ready because you’ll need them soon. Prepare ahead of time. Animals native to the area, reptiles, and birds of all kinds. Visit the Great Ocean Road and the Otway Forest and Fauna Reserve. Lorne and Apollo Bay are both stops on this full-day tour of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. It takes two hours to drive along the Great Southern Ocean’s cliffs from Torquay to Apollo Bay. Lorne and Apollo Bay will be our lunch stops, with Lorne being the shorter of the two.

It will be a half-hour drive to Maits Rest Rainforest Walk after the tour stops for lunch and a look around Apollo Bay. Self-guided tours on a wooded boardwalk through a rainforest habitat with giant Fern trees (about a 30-minute loop).

It wouldn’t be a real adventure if we didn’t see some of our most beloved creatures along the way. There are many native animals and birds in Australia, including Koalas, Wombats, and Wallabies. Fauna Australia has come a long way since its inception. An hour will fly by in a flash here.

At about 2:00 p.m., we’ll start driving back to Geelong, where we’ll drop you off after an amazing day filled with more memories and’selfies’ than you could have imagined.
