Beautiful Art Experience

“Laurie and Sherry King are the friendliest and most interesting couple. The art gallery is surrounded by beautiful native gardens, and kookaburras and parrots joined us on the veranda as we ate the lightest scones with homemade jam and cream. Laurie’s artwork is stunning. Awe-inspiring seascapes and wildlife among wood sculptures. Don’t pass up this hidden gem in the woods.”

Beautiful, breathtaking, and well worth a visit.

“We had a great time at King’s Art Gallery.
The artwork was stunning.
The gardens were lovely.
The food was exquisite.
The hosts were lovely.

From the moment you walk onto the property, the hosts treat you like old family friends. The artwork is stunning and is created in a variety of mediums. The gardens and buildings are also finished with a high level of artistic flair. We had an hour-long conversation with the hosts about succulents, native wildlife, art techniques, and other topics. This couple exudes peace and happiness. We walked away with two beautiful sketches and big smiles on our faces.”

Several visits!

“We returned three times during our ten-day stay at Dolphin Sands because it was so good! We came for the art but stayed for the freshly baked scones and delectable tea! The gallery is owned and operated by a lovely couple who have poured their hearts into their work. One of our sons was so taken with the art and our visits that he decided to spend his Christmas money on a beautiful hand-drawn original of a blue wren. I would highly recommend a visit if you are visiting the east coast or need to break up your journey because it is only a few minutes from the highway. Carry it out!”

Scones made from scratch!

“Lovely garden sculptures in a lovely setting. Scones were made to order and were the best gluten-free scones I’ve ever had. Delicious”

Surprising Discover

“My sister, mother, and I were staying at Dolphin Sands when we came across a sign for Kings Gallery. We thought we’d go in for a quick look and were immediately impressed by the quality of the artwork. We all left with reasonably priced art and are excited to get it home and on our walls.

The scones and cheesecake were delicious.

Thank you for your kindness.”

What a find!

“We arrived early, just as the scones were about to come out of the oven. This is a fantastic little gallery with a variety of fantastic artwork celebrating the local area. It is run by two wonderful people who are extremely welcoming. I must say that the scones were the best I’ve ever had. It was a lovely way to start the day, and I left with a beautiful print of an exquisite painting.”

What a great combination of art and food.

“We saw the sign on the Tasman Highway while staying in Swansea and decided to go see what it was like because we enjoy collecting local crafts.
This is not a snobbish gallery. Laurie and Sherry are real people who want you to have a good time.
The artwork is so realistic that it appears to be real. Originals and prints of various paintings are available for purchase. All budgets are catered to.
While you look at the art, have a bite to eat or a drink.
Laurie, the artist, is more than happy to talk with you so that you can make a genuine connection with the artwork you take home with you.
We hope to visit again when we return to Swansea.”

Best scone I’ve ever had! Baked fresh to order!

Such a gracious host, making fresh scones to order. On the outside, it’s crusty, but on the inside, it’s warm and light. A true local hidden treasure. Yummmm.”

Excellent coffee and cakes

In a beautiful setting, I had the most amazing homemade cheesecake. The proprietors are extremely friendly and welcoming. On a hot day, iced coffee was also ideal.”
