Rd. Beaury Forest Loop
To get to the Beaury Forest Loop Rd, take the road north-west out of town to Warwick and turn left after 6 kilometers into the unsealed road that leads through dry and moist hardwood forest and grazing lands. After 13 kilometers, take the left fork onto the sealed road to Urbenville.
North Yabbra Forest Loop Road is a road that runs through the forest of North Yabbra
From the eastern side of town, there is another forestry road that leads to Urbenville. Continue south-east (the road becomes unpaved after 2 km) through rainforest and moist and dry hardwood forest, past Edinborough Castle, another of the area’s volcanic plugs. About 17 kilometers from Woodenbong, turn right onto the sealed road that leads to Urbenville. This road leads through Yabbra Flora Reserve, which has a picnic area and a walking track.
Mt Lindesay is located about 10 kilometers north-east of Woodenbong, along the Mt Lindesay Rd to Beaudesert. It is a magnificent mountain that is part of the McPherson Range, which forms part of the state border. This is a popular destination for those looking for a challenging mountain trek. The final section is strictly for abseilers.
